Stemming from the earth itself, Granite has been highly sought out for through the ages for its durability and heat resilience, making it perfect for everyday use in the kitchen. (Sealing is recommended)
Marble like granite is a natural stone with similar properties. While it possesses similarities, this stone comes in a variety of lighter shades giving kitchens a softer more elegant appearance. (Sealing is recommended)
Not sure if marble or granite are a fit? Quartzite is a perfect middle ground. It boasts the soft and elegant aesthetic of marble while providing the durability and heat resistance of granite. (Sealing is recommended)
Quartz counters are engineered stone surfaces. So, unlike natural stones they are non-porous due to the resin used to fabricate them. This makes them stain resistant as well as easy to clean counters. They are however not 100% heat resistant. Although they may resist some degree of heat we always recommend the use of pot holders, trivets, or even cutting boards.
